If it's severe enough to keep him out of action, I'd prefer to plot first

It's possible, probably, though he probably has some blocks for people who aren't his Master

Pretty much a necessity for him, since he needs mana to use his abilities (and he is probably already wondering how he's even functioning without a Master). He does have some magic resistance though not the strongest.

I've put this here not above because it's not strictly a trigger, but Vlad really, really hates the legend of Dracula that's become attached to his name and this is not something he always handles maturely. He tries, but sometimes it gets the better of him.
